I can’t believe it is already February! If January is any indication, 2016 is going to fly by. Although, I hope that I am able to enjoy the small moments enough that the year doesn’t feel like a total blur when I am looking back on it come December.
According to research, by February, most of us who have made resolutions for the year are starting to revert back to our old ways. In years past, this definitely would have been me. This year feels different though. I feel equipped with a bunch of tools and strategies to help me stay on top of it. Not to mention the internal motivation to develop good habits to improve my daily life and overall well being.
I mentioned in my last update that creating accountability for myself has been very helpful – particularly my habit apps, Habit List and Way of Life (I’m not sure which one I prefer but look out for a post soon going into more detail on this). Blogging about my efforts is also helpful since I would hate for someone to come to my blog and find out that I started this project but didn’t stick to it – I am such an Obliger!
Here’s what I am focusing on this month.
- Planning each day/week – no more blank pages in my planner!
- Rising early – this is a hold over from January that still needs focus
- Writing something each day – I have put it out there in the universe that I will finally get around to writing a book this year
